Hey, I’m Elizabeth

About Me

We've lived in the Nashville/Middle TN area for 20 years now, which makes us feel like locals, and we love calling this place home.

About…

  • I'm a mama to three kids. Currently juggling one in high school, one in middle, and one in elementary. With busy kids, I’m wearing my chauffeur hat most weeknights.

  • I’m a former 4th grade teacher.

  • Reading is my favorite. I have an audiobook and a physical book going at all times and got through 150+ titles last year. I can probably give you a rec for any genre except horror!

  • I still get to flex my teaching muscle a bit-- I’m in my 10th year as a volunteer for a weekly Bible study (Bible Study Fellowship) where I teach a class for preschoolers. There, I'm surrounded by some of the most dedicated and honorable women I've ever met.

Where it all began

2009

Got my first DSLR camera, a Canon Rebel. We were expecting our first baby, and I wanted a “real” camera. He served as my muse for YEARS. I did a photo-a-day project one year, which really helped me learn more about shooting. (I know I’m a biased mama, but wasn’t he delicious?!)

2010

My first session ever trying to shoot for someone else— my best friend and her newborn— was that October in their house. Looking back, I was so clueless. Ha! Newborn photographer is WAY harder than it looks.

2011

Things got real. I was still taking photos of my son regularly, though I had no inclination of photography being an actual job. Requests for shoots starting coming in as friends noticed me posting photos online. I realized that meant I had to get a website, insurance, the works. This is when ECP really officially got off the ground.

2015

Joined the Click Studio collective, which increased my ability to be able to shoot year-round. This was also the first year I started offering Santa mini sessions! I’m so thankful for that leap of faith.

2022

My studio mates and I moved into a new studio space, though we stayed in Lenox Village. It was a lot of work (the walls were mustard yellow and the floor was red stained concrete, but it’s much bigger and has better light for year-round shooting options.

2025

Over the years, I have experimented with different types of mini sessions, lots of locations, and upgraded my equipment from that baby Canon Rebel. All the while, I’ve enjoyed getting to know hundreds of families. I’d love to meet yours!

As for the future? We’ll see! I’d love to continue to see my long-time repeat families and welcome lots of new faces as well.
